MEMBERSHIP AWARD
Membership Matters Award
- This will be awarded to a Branch when they have increased their new membership by 5% as a result of the activities funded by the Membership Matters Grant.
- The Membership Matters Award will be calculated on the November 30 after one year has passed following the receipt of the Membership Matters Grant.
- The new membership increase will be calculated on the Provincial membership count as of April 1, 2010.
- Branches achieving their 5% new membership increase at the November calculation before their year has passed will receive their Award at that time.
- This grant is intended to be used to continue to stimulate new membership in the Branch.
- The maximum total per branch of the Membership Matters Grant and the Membership Matters Award will be $600.
MEMBERSHIP MATTERS GRANT
The Membership Matters Grant is an incentive to increase membership at the Branch level. Application may be made for up to $400 and submitted to the Membership Committee for approval. Applications received by June 30, 2010 and approved will be eligible for funds to be disbursed by August 30, 2010. Applications received after that date will be considered and funded upon approval by the committee.

8. Tell us why this event qualifies for the grant: We are a small branch and are hard-pressed to cover expenses of our meetings. This grant would give us the opportunity to expand and capture some members who might be interested but have not been actively approached.
