Travelling by RV?
For any of our convention participants who want to include the event as part of a northern RV or camping
vacation, the Sault Ste. Marie KOA Campground is offering a 10% discount at their award-winning RV park
for the duration of their stay. They have created a discount code in their system for our group to use when
making reservations on line or over the phone. Just use the code "CT" in the applicable location during the
reservation process or mention on the phone. This is available now and will be effective for any reservation
between 1 June and 12 June 2012, Not only do they have RV and tent sites, but they also have rustic
Kamping Kabins which can accommodate up to 6 people per cabin. Additionally, for attendees who are travelling with their dogs, they offer a twice-daily dog walking service. They may be contacted at

Convention Hotel
Members who plan to attend the convention and have not yet booked a room are urged to do so as soon
as possible to get your choice of room. Reports are that rooms are filling up quickly. For those branches
who have made group bookings for your members, please have the individuals who will be occupying the
rooms contact the hotel as soon as decisions are made as to who will attend, and provide them with the
names. This will help the hotel keep its records up-to-date.

Rooms will be held until May 4, 2012 at the convention rates.
Convention Fund Raiser
As in past years, your Convention hosts will be holding a convention fund raising activity. This year, it will
be a Silent Auction which will run throughout the convention. Branches in the past have donated items between $40 and $50 value for the fund raiser. Because we must change the format, we are suggesting
that the donations be of lesser value, perhaps two items of $20-$25 value, instead of one of $40-$50,
thereby making it more appealing for ladies to make their bids. Some people don't want to put out a large
amount. As you know, the convention fund raiser is important to the financing of the convention. We
hope branches will support us in this change in format.
