LANARK BRANCH NEWS
Our branch mainly serves the area of Lanark County and Smiths Falls and we
rotate around the county for our luncheon meetings. Over the past few
seasons we have met at Lombardy, Franktown, Perth, Smiths Falls, Lanark
Village, Almonte, Carleton Place, and Ferguson Falls. We warmly welcome
new members from these areas. Our membership convenor is Carol Joynt,
6l3-283-3631 (Smiths Falls) and we invite you to contact her for further information. Our membership currently numbers 73 and we meet 8 or 9 times a year.
For our community outreach we have made donations to the Lanark County
Interval House, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lanark County, School Choirs and
Bands, four Food Banks, and the Childrens' Aid Society of Lanark County.
Our meetings have varied program ideas, including school bands and choirs,
hand bells, musical entertainers, travel speakers, line dancing, soloists,
authors, crafters, financial planners, and fashion shows.
Come out and enjoy the sharing and caring in Lanark County.
